Atlas Contrôle is an independent inspection body, BELAC-accredited (no. 663-INSP) and approved by the Belgian FPS Economy. Its teams carry out electrical, gas and propane inspections, boiler acceptance tests, and issue energy performance certificates across Belgium.
New Belgian regulation requires every gas installation inspection to be declared through the secure Elgacert API. Atlas Contrôle's own tools, capable as they were, could not connect to it directly. Without an integration, each declaration became time-consuming and error-prone, delaying authorisation to open the gas meters.
A clear admin panel lets the team review completed inspections and transmit them securely to Elgacert. The platform's complexity — a strict SOAP interface, signed exchanges, rejection handling — is isolated inside a dedicated connector that business applications talk to instead. Declarations go out faster, with no re-keying, and the authorisations to open or reopen meters follow.
Elgacert is the mandatory route for certifying gas and electrical installations: a regulated platform whose SOAP interface is strict and unforgiving. We isolated that complexity inside a dedicated module — a client generated from the official WSDL, signed and secured exchanges, data normalisation, rejection handling — which exposes a simple interface to the rest of the system. Teams file their certification requests, track their status and consult the full history there, without ever talking directly to the platform or re-keying anything.
