Grouping jobs together instead of criss-crossing Belgium

Who is the client?

Atlas Contrôle is an independent inspection body, BELAC-accredited (no. 663-INSP) and approved by the Belgian FPS Economy. Its teams carry out electrical, gas and propane inspections, boiler acceptance tests, and issue energy performance certificates across Belgium.

What did they need?

Scheduling relied on addresses and postcodes, with no view of how close appointments actually were to each other. Two jobs a few streets apart could end up booked on different days. The result: needless mileage, wasted hours and teams poorly spread across the country.

What was the solution?

The tool builds on the Google calendars the teams already use — there is no new data-entry tool to adopt. When scheduling, the planner drops the client's address on a map and nearby appointments appear straight away, so jobs in the same area can be grouped into a single day.

How it is built

Teams were already planning their jobs in shared calendars, yet nobody had the overall picture — neither the geographic spread nor the real workload per technician. Rather than imposing yet another data-entry tool, the application aggregates the existing calendars, geocodes free-text job addresses and plots them on a map alongside workload indicators. No double entry: the calendar remains the source of truth, the tool merely reveals it.
